In 2002, the Martial Arts History Museum inducted Hwa Rang Do's founder, Dr. Joo Bang Lee into it's Hall of Fame. However, the official induction ceremony didn't take place until this year, 2012 in Burbank.

During this ceremony, his eldest son, Grandmaster Taejoon Lee was also inducted as a 2012 inductee.
