This is what martial arts USED to be like, back when a "black belt" really meant something. This is Jim Harrison and Fred Wren (black hair) in the 1968 US Open. Both of them went to the hospital after this match. Harrison was a ferocious puncher who broke many noses, and Wren was so vicious some competitors refused to fight him.
